It happened again. Blair woke, confused and startled. Another dream? What was wrong with him? Was he falling apart so soon after hooking up with Jim? Did the idea of shadowing a cop frighten him that much? He considered this thought for a while before he admitted to himself that Jim being a cop didn't scare him at all. In fact, he found it exciting. Maybe he really was going nuts.

Oh, well. Two dreams didn't a mental case make, he figured sarcastically. Still, he couldn't help but examine why he was having these kinds of dreams about his new friend in the first place. Jim hadn't given him any hints that he was the least bit interested in him in the physical sense at all. As far as Blair could tell, Jim didn't think of him as anything but someone to help him learn to control his senses. He had no idea if his new partner was gay or straight, and it certainly wasn't his business to ask. Yet yesterday had turned out to be another harrowing day in the life of Jim Ellison, and by extension, in the life of Blair Sandburg. Something must be dredging up these feelings. And he wanted to know why.

Secrets are uncovered, discoveries made, and everyone's life is endangered before a final solution gives them all hope for a future that was never part of Naomi's plan.

This was written in the late 1990's/early 2000's. This story has not been edited in any way; it has been left as was written by a beginning writer.

When an injured member of the alien race Pan'tr finds his way to a space station occupied by a Terran Teacher, can their two worlds mesh and become one?  Can, and will, Blair Sandburg be able to accept fully J'Ell's dominance and rights as mate?

Changes by Jean Kluge. Changes is a sequel to Myrna's Ever After. The PDF file has all of the original illustrations: front and back covers, all the interior illos of J&B, and the little pen-and-ink animal pictures that decorated the spaces between sections of the story.

This zine is available through Requiem only as a printable download/CD. 

Changes tells the story of Jim and Blair's efforts to cope with Blair's brain damage and incapacitation with warmth and humor, of their hard work and struggles toward his recovery, and of their courageous and miraculous reclamation of their life together.  (And, yes, it has a happy ending, for those who've asked.  We're not too proud to mention that.)
